Nathan Kalish is a storyteller, songwriter and lifelong traveler. After spending the last 6 years touring with his Americana roots band NathanKalish and the Lastcallers and before that with the Deadstring Brothers (Bloodshot Records), Nathan began to tour solo and occasionally with a band, while focusing on songwriting and more honest storytelling in a contrast to his rowdy and some times funny live shows. You can catch him playing songs from his past 7 studio albums coast to coast while he is also promoting his latest album “continental breakfast of champions” which was included in Saving Country Music’s 2016 Essential Albums List.
“It’s the real, true-to-life version of forgotten America that songwriter Nathan Kalish and The Lastcallers sing about in their new album Continental Breakfast of Champions; not some fairy tale to help prop up a false sense of escapism for bored suburbanites.”

“I Want to Believe” is 10 cuts that dance around a handful of genres, while remaining a reflection of independent, electric-folk music. Cuts like “Bar Fight” are the soundtrack for tears in your beer, while “Roswell” is an upbeat roots rocker with a subtle cow-punk vibe. The whole record is reflection of his influences and his past, from the punk-rock of his youth to the jangly and loose rock ’n’ roll of The Deadstring Brothers, all with a nod to country and twang.” – DGO
