Cherry Avenue with Towne$10 - $18
Cherry Avenue, a new dynamic duo, has always had a love for music. Adam Catt, a native to Kentucky found himself on a one way track to a place in Tennessee called Bethel University. It was there he fine tuned his skills as a musician in a music program called Renaissance, that would surely give him what he was looking for. Little did he know, Erika Blake who originates from Newark Ohio was on that same one way track as a singer/actress in Bethel University’s Renaissance Theater. On a chance encounter, the two met at a songwriting competition and decided to join forces and begin a journey together as musicians. As luck would have it, fate would intervene and join these two on a collision course of love and music. As the music grew, so did their love for each other. They soon found themselves married, in love, and creating a sound all their own.
Towne is one of those hidden gems in Nashville with a story as one of a kind as their sound. Both Steevie and Jon come from different walks of life, but through sheer chance they’re paths we’re intertwined. Jon came from a punk rock background, previously with Geffen signed group The Pink Spiders while Steevie was exploring musical theatre eventually finding her way into multiple Pennsylvania based bands. Their partnership began rather serendipitously when both got scholarships to Skip Ewing’s Horse and Writer songwriting camp in Wyoming. In the beginning, they were in a romantic relationship, but as the started writing more they realized what they were making was truly special. So they decided to put their personal relationship on hold, in order to pursue another partnership in Music.
